statuary, including a sculpture of David by Michelangelo, are all worth the trip! The extensive collection of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque art is fantastic. It includes such notables as Peter Paul Reubens and Frans Hals. A highlight was a special exhibit featuring watercolors from the Ringling collection which will be on display through February 2019. Pieces by Edward Hopper, Childe Hassam and Charles Burchfield were on view. The Ringling collection of Modern and Contemporary Art did not disappoint. I was especially intrigued with three early works by Marcel Duchamp. My favorite among these was one of the artist's wife, Yvonne Duchamp painted in 1907.
